While in Sikkim you can visit Enchey Monastery which is famous for its old wall murals. At select times of the day you will also be able to hear monastic students chanting their lessons.

Near Gangtok, the only city in Sikkim, is the Handicrafts Institute. Here young girls and boys make handicrafts the traditional way. You are able to buy carpets, carved furniture and masks, among others that have been hand crafted on the premise.
